To help promote health and ease the problems of parking we encourage parents to use our Walking Bus Scheme. The scheme is run in conjunction with Southend Borough Council. The pupils are escorted to school along a set route, picking up more ‘passengers’ along the way. The Walking Bus gives pupils an awareness of road safety and provides them with daily exercise.

We presently have three routes: Red, Blue and Purple.

Red Route: Commences from South side of London Road outside the Cycle shop and continues straight down the London Road and along Hadleigh Road and into school.

Blue Route: Commences from Rectory Grove outside Zambesi then proceeds along Rectory Grove before turning into Hadleigh Road and onto school.

Purple Route: Commences from Bonchurch Avenue near Kingswood Chase turns into Eastwood Road. At the traffic lights the route proceeds along the London Road and then into Hadleigh Road and into school.
