Welcome to the Admissions section of our school website.

Thank you for considering St. Michael’s School as a potential education provider to your child(ren).

St. Michael’s is a Church of England Preparatory School of approximately 300 children (maximum 310) aged from 3 to 11 years old and is a non-selective school.

The initial stages of any enquiry to the school would be to provide you with a copy of our prospectus (please click the link below to request your copy) and invite you to visit St. Michael’s for a tour of the school and to meet the Headmaster, Mr James Mobbs.  Please contact me via email or telephone (details below) to make an appointment.

During your meeting with Mr Mobbs, you will be provided with a registration form which will need to be completed and returned to me with a £50 non-refundable registration fee, to ensure your child is added to our waiting list.  The £50 fee can be paid by cash, cheque (payable to St. Michael’s School), debit card or credit card (subject to 2% processing fee).  Alternatively you can pay direct from your bank account – please ask for further details regarding this option.

An offer of admission to the school can only be made if a place is available.  Nursery can accept up to 26 children.  All other year groups can house a maximum of 40 children with 20 children in each of the two parallel classes per year.  When offering places, consideration is given to the order in which children were registered on the waiting list.  However some preference is given to siblings of children who are already pupils in the school, registered siblings and children of serving members of staff.

For further details on the admission process for your child, please select the appropriate entry level/age group below:

If after reading this section you still have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

With regards

Mrs Lorraine Kipps
